LEONGATHA - Episode #1.1 "The Bus"
Last Thursday’s episode via Catch Up TV.
Just a quick word…
Sincerely hope those of you out there who’ll be watching tonight enjoy our little show.
I can attest to the hard-work, commitment and dedication that went in to these six half hour episodes. The cast and crew involved were a constant inspiration. The assistance, calmness and leadership shown by the lads behind the cameras, the brilliant hair & makeup and psychiatric support provided by Ms. O’Brien, our sound guys for their commitment to a great job whilst cultivating a youthful and boyish love for each other (scallions), finding a production assistant and having him turn out to be the unsinkable and reliable Sam Osborn, to a cast whom lifted the occasionally sub-standard writing (except for when our talented writers were involved) via their performances with often little direction and/or only two takes to get it right. Chris, Sarah, Bryce, you really nailed it. Mulkers for the extra moral support and Antonia for pretty much single handedly rescuing the production at the eleventh hour. The whole lot of you were amazing. To the original Andy G for leaving behind a juiced PC fit for editing before leaving us for the US, Brett for a kick-ass intro, Deb & Paul for seriously saving our skin and feeding our bellies, Jill & Max for doing the same, Kate at Inverloch Big 4 for literally losing money by having us stay with them on location. Moose, as always, a gargantuan effort again, we make a decent tag team. I couldn’t jump off the top ropes if I didn’t know you were there to throw in a few full nelsons along the way. You’re a good pal and better co-producer and finally the incredibly numerous and too many to mention family, friends, friends of friends, lovers, enemies and pets that provided support, financial or moral, along the way.
It’s just community TV, in some eyes perhaps not very good community TV, but it took a shit tonne of effort and time. I’m spent. But I’m proud of it and grateful to those who helped make it happen.
If you get a sec and feel brave, when its all said and done, tell me what you thought of it and be honest. Unless you thought it was horrible, in which case tell someone who cares. But seriously.
Thanks.
Shane.
